Biography
Chia Hsieh is a full-time illustrator and art educator who shares her experience in drawing and picture book creation with students.
She graduated in 2020 from the Children’s Book Illustration programme at Cambridge School of Art and lived in the UK in 2023 on a working holiday visa.
Chia works with various media, including watercolour, coloured pencils, and pastels. Recently, she has explored digital illustration, creating effects inspired by screen printing and watercolour layering.
Her work has won the 2023 Picture This illustration competition, been selected for the Children Spectators’ Illustrators Contest at the 2022 Bologna Children’s Book Fair, and long-listed for the Editorial Illustration category at the 2023 World Illustration Awards and the 2022 Unpublished Picturebook Showcase 4.

關 於
謝知亞 (Chia Hsieh) 是一名全職插畫家，同時也是獨立藝術教學工作者，與學生分享繪畫與繪本創作的豐富經驗。2020年畢業於英國劍橋藝術學院童書插畫研究所，並於2023年持打工度假簽證旅居英國。
擅長多種媒材，包括水彩、色鉛筆、粉彩等手繪工具。近年，她也積極探索電腦繪圖技術，善於在作品中呈現孔版印刷的疊印效果與水彩疊色的清透質感。
作品多次獲得國際肯定，曾贏得2023年英國 Picture This 插畫比賽英國區冠軍，入選2022年義大利波隆那童書展兒童觀眾插畫比賽，以及2023年世界插畫大賽社論插畫類初選與2022年 The Unpublished Picturebook Showcase 4 初選。
合作夥伴有翰林出版、臺北醫學大學跨領域學院、財團法人台北市客家文化基金會等。
